What’s your definition of style?
I’ve always been a “quality over quantity” type of girl and my style has mostly been classic simple and sophisticated with a modern edge. Chic minimalism if thats a type of style. I always always come back to the simplicity of basic black and white. It’s chic, its timeless and it works for me.

You inspire and empower many women with your own style, who are your fashion icons and inspirations?
Carine Roitfeld, Giovanna Battaglia, and my mum. There are probably a few more that I could state but they’re the first that come to mind.

Why did you select this Micky In The Van outfit?
I love a good houndstooth print, its timeless and can be worn with practically any colour. I also love the fact that this dress can double up as a coat and worn loosely for a relaxed yet super cool look. The cullotes are such a thing right now and I really love that you can dress them up or down.Super comfotable and still very stylish if they’re worn with confidence and a little attitude.

What are three key items of clothing/accessories/footwear that you believe are must haves?
A pair of polarised sunglasses. I purchased a great pair in Paris recently and made sure they were a classic style with great polarisation! A structured classic black blazer that you can throw over anything day or night. For me a good jacket completes an outfit. I have a great Isabel Marant one that I just cant live without. It works whether I’m wearing my sneakers through to my heels. A great lippy… I’m obsessed with Tom Ford lipsticks at the moment, they’re rich & creamy and stay on for ages.

What would be one essential piece of fashion advice that you’d like to pass on to the sisterhood?
True style starts from within. Self confidence and self love begins on the inside and this shows on the outside. Once you acknowledge a deep sense of self and knowing of who you are, then you won’t feel the need to dress to impress and follow trends.

What is a mantra/quote that you follow that has helped you with your success?
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small doesn’t serve the world. There’s nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We are born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us, it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”
